State of the County Address 2026
Hosted by the Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Hawaiʻi in partnership with the County of Hawaiʻi
Join the Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Hawaiʻi and the County of Hawaiʻi for the 2026 State of the County Address, featuring Mayor C. Kimo Alameda.
This annual gathering brings together business leaders, nonprofit partners, and community members from across Hawaiʻi Island to hear directly from the Mayor about the priorities, challenges, and opportunities shaping our county. The address offers a valuable look at where Hawaiʻi County is headed and how government, business, and community organizations can work together in the year ahead.
The program will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at Nani Mau Gardens in Hilo. Doors open at 10:30 a.m., with the program beginning at 11:00 a.m., followed by lunch. The event will also feature live entertainment and music by Christy Leināʻala Lassiter.
Hosted as JCCIH’s Winter General Membership Meeting, the State of the County Address reflects the Chamber’s ongoing commitment to strengthening relationships between the business community and local government, and to supporting a healthy, connected, and resilient Hawaiʻi Island.
Rooted in the spirit of Okage Sama De, “I am what I am because of you,” this event honors the partnerships and shared responsibility that help our county thrive
